What is the BB Cybersecurity Framework?
In 2026, Bangladesh Bank issued the Cybersecurity Framework Version 1.0 — a mandatory compliance baseline for all scheduled banks, non-bank financial institutions, mobile financial service providers, and payment operators in Bangladesh.
The framework must be implemented by December 31, 2026.
It is based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework with 6 core functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover.
